Zach thought he'd buried his desire for Kennedy five years ago. He was wrong, and now he’s determined to satisfy his craving... Construction company owner Kennedy Gibson is eager to restore Sweetbriar Springs, but when she realizes Zach is her new boss she's terrified he'll learn the truth about their breakup so long ago. She vowed never to hurt him again, but she can't deny the passion he reignites in her. She wants to believe she has a chance for a different future with him, but will her secret threaten to destroy their red-hot reunion?

Q: Welcome to The Writer's Life, Christine Glover.  Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and how long you’ve been writing?

A: I’m a Dutch/Canadian transplant currently living in Northern Alabama. My favorite place in the world to visit is Walt Disney World because I love the magical experience and I love happily-ever-after stories. I’ve been writing contemporary romances for nine years, but I’ve always been a writer of some form of fiction or poetry from the time I could hold a pen in my hand.

Q: Can you please tell us about your book and why you wrote it?

A: The Maverick’s Red Hot Reunion is about Kennedy Gibson and Zach Tanner. Their love blazed hot and passionate six years ago, and they were supposed to get married. But after a devastating loss, Kennedy ended their engagement. They’re reunited by their best friend Michael—the man who introduced them—after he is diagnosed with ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis: a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord). Michael asks billionaire Zach Tanner to return to Sweetbriar Springs to renovate the resort to force these two back together. A special person in my life was diagnosed with this disease around the time I began writing the Maverick. I wanted something good to come out of this disease and so did she. My research confirmed that most ALS patients feel the same way. Kennedy and Zach will do anything to make Michael happy, even fake that they’re engaged again. And that leads to some fun situations and forces them to realize that they never stopped loving each other.

Q: What were some of the biggest challenges you faced writing it?

A: I’d say that balancing the romantic and sensual elements with the seriousness of Michael’s disease was very difficult because I was also processing my own and very real grief. But in the end the characters gave me a beautiful, emotionally driven sexy story that’s got laughter and love driving it. So ripping open my heart and pouring it onto the page was worth all the hard work.

Q: Do you have a press kit and what do you include in it?  Does this press kit appear online and, if so, can you provide a link to where we can see it?

A: Currently, I have a website and am building my press kit. You can find my information at if you want to learn more about me and my books.

Q: Have you either spoken to groups of people about your book or appeared on radio or TV?  What are your upcoming plans for doing so?

A: I’ve given an interview to my local newspaper, The Redstone Rocket, which will appear on July 16, 2014.

Q: Do you have an agent and, if so, would you mind sharing who he/is is?  If not, have you ever had an agent or do you even feel it’s necessary to have one?

A: I don’t have an agent. Right now I don’t think I need one. I’m very happy with my publisher, Entangled Publishing, LLC and how they conduct business. Perhaps one day in the future I might need an agent, but that depends on a lot of variables.

Q: Did you, your agent or publisher prepare a media blitz before the book came out and would you like to tell us about it?

A: Yes. My publisher did prepare a media blitz for me by providing me with an online virtual book blog tour. I’m giving away a Kindle Paper White E-reader to one lucky person at the end of the tour. You can find out more about my book blog tour at this web site:

Q: Do you plan subsequent books?

A: I have a prequel to The Maverick’s Red Hot Reunion already undergoing editorial revisions at Entangled Publishing. It’s set six years before The Maverick. This novel is about Michael’s younger sister Jessie, a former explosives expert in the Marines, and the only man who is strong enough to be her perfect match: Hollywood action hero Blake Johnston AKA Quinn Sawyer. I’m currently working on the sequel to The Maverick that gives the readers a peek at how Zach and Kennedy are doing while Kennedy’s best friend Hannah is forced to work up close and personal with her former crush. Caleb Gibson is a reformed bad boy who has traded his Marine combat boots for a corporate suit and black tie. The last thing he wants to do is stay in Sweetbriar Springs, but when he caves to his craving for Hannah he’ll discover he’s found a home for his heart.
Q: Thank you for your interview, Christine Glover. Would you like to tell my readers where they can find you on the web and how everyone can buy your book?

A: You’re welcome. Thank you for hosting me today. You can find me on my website at The Maverick’s Red Hot Reunion is currently available from these booksellers and retailers: Amazon Barnes and Noble kobo

Born in the Netherlands, Christine’s parents immigrated to Canada where she spent her formative years.
