Dear Reader…

I, Mary is the third book in The Eternity Series.  Each of the books in this series has been crafted around characters that lived in the past.  And while there is no genealogical or statistical data that I’ve found to corroborate their living, there is certainly none to deny them a life either.

Many people in today’s world are quick to judge others.  Most of the time judgments are based on appearance, attitude, and other qualities that are fleeting.   In these books, somewhat similar to Chaucer’s  The Canterbury Tales, I tell the character’s story, and hope to give insight into what they ‘ve achieved in both gains and losses.

In terms of Chaucer, I would say that Book One (I, Walter)  the story of Walter Crofter… Mary’s grandfather… was The Sailor.  Book Two (I, James), the story of James Crofter… Mary’s father… then is the story of The Banker.  And while I tend to let readers make their own judgments, my suggestion would be to look at I, Mary as The Teacher.

You might also find that the characters in these first three books live according to their own moral codes.  And, after reading the first three, I have found that whatever that code is, they stick to it.

I, Mary completes the first trilogy.  In Book 4, we will leave the Crofter family, and listen to others describe their lives and events.

Please allow me to take this moment to say ‘Thank You.’  That you would consider reading any or all of The Eternity Series is fantastic.  I truly hope you enjoy the books, and I’d be honored to hear from you through review or facebook (www.facebook.com/mhartner1) or twitter (@MhartnerAuthor) or all three.

Sincerely,

Mike Hartner
